libcimbar is an experimental high-density 2D barcode format designed for air-gapped data transfer, enabling data transmission at speeds of up to 850 kilobits/s using only a computer monitor and a smartphone camera. It incorporates a robust protocol for file encoding with error correction, allowing for reliable reconstruction of files (up to 33MB) from sequences of animated barcodes, even in the presence of data loss. Notably, this C++ implementation can run across various platforms, including via a web browser using asm.js or WebAssembly, facilitating both online and offline use.
