Off The Grid Messenger (OTG Messenger) is a communication tool designed for use in remote areas devoid of mobile service, facilitating text messages between users within a theoretical range of 10 miles. Built using a repurposed Nokia e63 phone and featuring a custom-designed STM32 H7 microcontroller and LoRA radio technology, it provides secure messaging capabilities with advanced features like self-healing mesh networking and a user interface developed with TouchGFX. Targeted towards sports enthusiasts, farmers, and those needing encrypted communication, this tool emphasizes portability, low power consumption, and robust performance in challenging environments.
